"The Parsonage" as many villagers of the picturesque village of Loenen aan de Vecht recognize this magnificent mansion. Located on the attractive "Dorpsstraat" and perhaps the most beautiful street in Loenen aan de Vecht is this one of the distinguished family houses which is blessed with a beautiful garden directly on the river "De Vecht" and a fully enclosed, large backyard behind the house in the heart of the old village. This spacious villa was totally renovated by the current owners in 2018 by a highly reputable restorer from Loenen aan de Vecht. The restoration was carried out with extreme precision and with a sense of style, preservation of the beautiful details and especially adding contemporary comfort, this has become a truly "Turn-Key" family home. A comfort and luxury that is a common thread throughout the house gives this family home an "international" allure that we do not often encounter. We mention some characteristics of this unique object: Solidly built, with beautiful detailing, stately and luxurious yet understated, spacious living / dining room with Bulthaup custom kitchen, beautiful floors, eye-catching bathrooms (two), unique staircase, four comfortable bedrooms on the second floor and a stunning attic where now two extremely large (bed) rooms / rooms have been realized. This restoration can almost be compared to a Swiss watch: Beauty with purposeful precision and complexity, Luxurious but not too showy, but above all the result of all the hand/craftsmanship: allowing you and your family to enjoy a beautiful family home in all the peace, comfort and luxury that this stately mansion has to offer. A small piece of history: Dorpsstraat 71 in Loenen aan de Vecht "the Parsonage" is a classic neo-Renaissance mansion which was commissioned by the Reformed Church in 1906 and built on the right side garden of the estate "Leeuwendijk " (Dorpsstraat 69). Dorpsstraat 69 called Leeuwendijk was then owned by the reformed church in Loenen aan de Vecht and served as a residence for the minister. When the church council wanted to give the minister a more modern and comfortable home, part of the side yard of Leeuwendijk was split off and here the commission was given for the construction of this mansion. The commission was given to the architect H.A.J.F. Hissink and as builder was appointed construction company van Schaick from the neighboring village of Breukelen. (This builder is still active) So it arose that on the spot where previously the stable of the Leeuwendijk estate stood, there is not one but two majestic houses with between the two in the Sondaarpad, referring to the name of the then occupant (s) of the estate "Oud Over" which is on the other side of the river "De Vecht" is. Classification: Through the Dorpsstraat you approach the iconic and especially very symmetrically built building. The center positioned stately entrance gives you access to the house. The central hall with vestibule (porch) has a beautiful stained glass door and from here you have access to the central staircase and other rooms. On the left side of the house (on the Dorpsstraat side) is a separate sitting room which has a gas fireplace and a custom cabinet where the television is built in. This room has a sleek and quiet finish with a wooden-visgrain parquet floor. Through the hall you enter the living room which is also located at the front. This has a large, sleek fireplace with a traditional wood burning stove. This lovely living room with stunning views over the front yard and river "The Vecht" seamlessly connects to the rear of the house where the spacious kitchen-dining area is located. Here are two doors to the spacious backyard. In this dining area is also a modern gas fireplace. The sleek, modern kitchen is of the brand "Bulthaup" and provides you with plenty of cabinet space and all necessary quality appliances of the brand "Gaggenau". The cooking area is an induction plate with internal extraction so the exhaust is not visible. In the cabinet wall of the kitchen is also the door processed which gives access to the spacious basement which is at standing height and bone dry. Ideal to use as a wine cellar. Floor: Through a beautiful staircase with staircase and paneling you reach the second floor. Spacious landing with a central hallway which gives access to four bedrooms and a bathroom. Nice detail is that this central hallway completely extends the view from the garden to the river "De Vecht" and vice versa. Two bedrooms located at the rear of which one is used as a guest / bedroom
and the other is stylishly decorated as a dressing room. Custom cabinets to the ceiling provide ample space for your wardrobe. The other two bedrooms are located on the Vecht side. One room is now used as a study which is also equipped with custom cabinets. The other room is the "master bedroom" which has access to the bathroom which is also accessible from the central hall. The bathroom is truly phenomenal and has an international allure. Equipped with a bathtub, large shower, second toilet, double sink and of course underfloor heating. Again, the impressive staircase takes you to the attic. This attic is impressive because there is a lot of space due to the height of the roof. The spacious landing gives you access to two spacious bedrooms and a second bathroom. This bathroom is in the same style as the bathroom on the second floor. This bathroom also has a bath, large shower, third toilet, double sink and underfloor heating. Also on this floor is a separate laundry room with behind it a technical room. This attic is now divided into two bedrooms but offers plenty of opportunities for a custom layout. Garden: The beautifully landscaped backyard is fully fenced and offers complete privacy. Several seats and terraces are built, a large lawn and flower borders. Here you can certainly find a suitable place to relax and enjoy the greenery around you. At the rear of the garden is a park with many old trees. From your backyard you have a beautiful view of the church tower of Loenen aan de Vecht. On the left side of the house is a driveway with behind it a large garage which is accessible from the Dorpsstraat. The Dorpsstraat is a very quiet one-way street used only by residents, local traffic, cyclists and pedestrians. The overture on the Vecht side is classically landscaped with a middle lawn and gravel paths, and a lovely "free" terrace on the waterfront. The garden has a wide jetty for your boat / boats. With the beautiful view on the left towards Vreeland, the view of the bridge of Loenen aan de Vecht and the other side of the estate "Old Over" can hardly be more beautiful and you will find complete peace. Perhaps needless to tell but still: Through the river "The Vecht" you can sail to the Loosdrecht lakes, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Vinkeveen etc. The unique location of this property in the middle of the village of Loenen aan de Vecht on a spacious plot, the plot is not too large in terms of maintenance and always good to (let) keep. Also the high degree of security this object is not comparable with the estates which are not located in the village but further away on the banks of river "De Vecht". In short: This once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire such a luxurious, turnkey, family home is rare.
